On July 30 in Atlanta, Joslin is sponsoring a symposium at the 2008 National Medical Association's Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly. This accredited CME symposium titled Diabetes in African Americans: Optimizing Outcomes through Integrated Nutritional Strategies and Insulin Therapy will provide up-to-date information on designing and implementing individualized treatment plans for African-American patients with type 2 diabetes. On August 7 in Washington, DC, Joslin is sponsoring a symposium at the 2008 American Association of Diabetes Educators Annual Meeting. This accredited CME symposium titled Home Continuous Glucose Monitoring: A New Perspective on Pathophysiology and Treatment will introduce medical professionals who care for people with diabetes to new home continuous glucose monitoring technology and develop their skills regarding its use. This symposium is open only to those medical professionals registered for the AADE Meeting. Pre-registration for the symposium is not required.
 
Come to Boston in October to attend Advances in Diabetes 2008, a comprehensive two-and-one-half-day CME course being developed by Joslin Diabetes Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and accredited by Harvard Medical School Department of Continuing Education. Primary care providers will learn practical aspects and new technologies that address the growing complexity of diabetes care.
