Lucila Halperin, PsyD
Post Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology
Lucila is a clinical psychology post-doctoral fellow with the Joslin Latino Diabetes Initiative. She provides individual and group therapy for individuals dealing with the impact of diabetes. She will be offering support and stress management groups later this year.
Lucila is originally from Argentina and is fully bilingual (English and Spanish) and bicultural. She received her doctoral degree from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and has trained in hospitals and community health centers with patients of diverse ages, ethnicities, socio-economic status and psychological issues.
Given her background, Lucila is particularly committed to working with the Latino population and on better understanding the impact that cultural identity has on the meaning that patients ascribe to their symptoms and treatment adherence.
