Educational Programs for Industry Professionals
Educational Programs for Industry Professionals
Treating diabetes and its related conditions is complex and constantly changing. It is challenging for the clinician and for the patient. Industry professionals need a familiarity with the spectrum of treatments and patient care issues that impact people with diabetes and those who care for them. Other conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, which is a major complication and the leading cause of premature death among people with diabetes, impact this care.
Joslin Diabetes Center provides customized programs designed to meet the industry professional’s specific educational objectives. Targeted to non-clinicians, these interactive, practical educational programs present an overview of the management of diabetes and its related conditions from both the clinician and patient perspectives in a useful and realistic way.
Joslin education programs can incorporate a variety of teaching techniques, including:
- Lectures
- Case vignettes
- Patient testimony
- Hands-on activities
