OVERVIEW
Register now for this interactive, hands-on program developed for nurses, dietitians and other outpatient practicing clinicians seeking to advance their knowledge, skills and confidence in caring for patients with diabetes.
Program objectives include:
- Identify management pathways to improve and target lab values for quality patient care.
- Expand meal and activity planning knowledge and individualized applications for patients who have type 2 diabetes.
- Describe appropriate algorithms for the advancement and appropriate use of a wider variety of diabetes medicines.
- Review technology skills necessary to support patients involved in making more guided self-care management decisions.
- Develop and strengthen strategies to care for diverse populations presenting in outpatient practices.
- Analyze patient case scenarios, recognizing all viable management and educational alternatives, potentials for misunderstandings, and gaps in care practices.
