Mark Atkinson PhD, a Professor from the University of Florida, Gainesville, Co-Director of the Diabetes Center of Excellence, and the American Diabetes Association Eminent Scholar for Diabetes Research, visited Joslin for the day to meet with Joslin scientists, consider collaborations, and lecture on the role of individual and environmental factors that may lead to the development of Type 1 Diabetes.

With the Endocrine Society meeting in Boston this year, some providers were able to visit with old friends from all over the world. Dr. Veronica Mericq from Santiago Chile spent one morning in the clinic. She commented that she “always learns something new when she comes to Joslin.”
